Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe
The memorial consists of 2,711 slabs of concrete commemorating the Holocaust. This is not the typical approach to photographing the memorial but this is the shot I saw. I set the camera on one of the slabs and let lights illuminate the many faces of concrete. There is always a personal effect when standing in front of something like this and in this shot, perhaps more than some others, I hoped my camera could do some justice to what I saw.
